Nie zdążyłam zrobić tego wcześniej, a chyba wypadałoby złożyć wam - chociaż najbardziej szczątkowe - życzenia.
Życzę wam dalszego zainteresowania historią ubioru, pięknych kostiumów, więcej spotkań kostiumowych, na których was wszystkich poznam, odwagi do rozpoczęcia swojej zabawy z szyciem, nowych blogów i innych miłych historycznych doznań.
A ponieważ w życzeniach zawsze byłam kiepska, niech to powyższe grafomaństwo załagodzi moja ulubiona zagraniczna kolęda (?) w wykonaniu Annie Lennox. Już w samej piosence podoba mi się jej dziewiętnastowieczny klimat (właściwie, powstała na przełomie wieków, a 1835 roku została spisana), zaś piosenkarka jeszcze go uwydatniła. Aż chciałoby się przenieść do jakiejś śnieżnej, angielskiej wsi z minionych wieków.
No i te bębny! Wspominałam już, że mam na ich punkcie słabość?

In the end, let me present to you this mysterious version of my favorite foreign Christmas carol - 'God rest ye merry gentlemen'! I love the 19th century-ish feel it has. I'm actually in love in most of British/American carols and Christmas songs. Few years ago we bought a CD set and I simply can't imagine Christmas without listening to all of them. I love Polish carols as well, but they're more serious and more suitable for a Christmas dinner rather than driving from shop to shop or decorating a Christmas tree.
